Imagine a toddler wheelchair made in bright pink, customised to a toddler’s princess penchant, or perhaps one in shades of red and blue, embodying a child’s favourite Spiderman hero?
Imagine that this wheelchair is safe for kids to wheel themselves on, and at the same time, it can be steered by an adult and even has a little holder to carry medical equipment?
Now imagine the above, and the fact that such an equipment actually exists in reality for free to people of the community in need of it.
Sounds too good to be true? Well, not on Salvage Garden’s watch!
Volunteers 3D print Toddler Wheelchairs
To date, Salvage Garden volunteers have come together to 3D print 5 fully functional TMTs (Toddler Mobility Trainers) in all shades of colours. Families bring their little ones to try out the TMTs that’s made specially for them.

To witness the joy on the faces of the little kids that whizz around in their TMTs, be it wheeling themselves or having an adult’s loving hand guide them, makes our volunteers all warm and fuzzy inside. This quiet happiness is what drives our volunteers to keep plugging away, week in, week out, and put in countless hours towards a project.
As yet another happy family leaves with a TMT that is uniquely theirs, designed with special needs in mind, Salvage Garden has swung right into their 6th TMT project, hoping to unlock more smiles, one TMT at a time.
