Opening a jar can sometimes be incredibly frustrating even for the strongest of us. For people with reduced dexterity, strength and those with one arm, this task becomes much more difficult. This 3d printed model allows us to use one hand to open the lid of the jar while the device holds the jar in place. Simply place the jar in the device and apply pressure on the arm of the device with your hips.
We found applying piece of silicon mat with superglue to the surfaces in contact with the jar and the surface contacting the table increases the grip and makes using this tool much easier.
